Suspected Husband & Wife Drug-Dealing Duo Arrested

A Macon County husband and wife are behind bars after local authorities discovered approximately 8 lbs. of high quality, compressed marijuana being stored in their home and storage unit for the purpose of resale.

According to authorities, the Macon County Sheriff’s Department had been conducting an ongoing drug investigation involving Timothy Likens and his wife Bonnie who resided in the Green Valley Road area.
“Intelligence gathered through evidence and interviews led officers to obtain a search warrant on Thursday, January 4, for a storage shed on Scottsville Road concerning these narcotic sales,” said Chief Deputy Bryon Satterfield. “The storage unit was registered to Mrs. Bonnie Likens.”
Conducting the search were Detective Shane Gregory, Lieutenant Darrell Taylor, Detective Kevin Templeton, Deputy William Tuck, Sergeant Joseph Woodard and K-9 Otto.
“After entering the storage unit, K-9 Otto indicated a positive alert that drugs were located inside,” explained Satterfield.
An extensive search led to the discovery of three large bricks of high quality, compressed marijuana wrapped in clear plastic, four additional large Ziploc bags of marijuana, four long guns and other drug paraphernalia.
Following the inspection of the storage unit, Macon County Sheriffs Department and Tennessee Highway Patrol officers arrived at the Green Valley Road residence of Bonnie and Timothy Likens where they discovered more compressed marijuana and two handguns.
At the time of the search, Mrs. Likens was home but Mr. Likens could not be located.
Officers also seized golf carts and motorcycles from the property that they believe were used in the sale of narcotics. A total of approximately 8 lbs. of marijuana, with a street value in the $1,000’s, was seized from the house and storage unit.
Charges were also obtained for Timothy Likens, who turned himself in at the Macon County Sheriffs Department on Friday afternoon, January 5.
Bonnie and Timothy Likens were charged with possession of a schedule VI drug, possession of drug paraphernalia and simple possession. Mr. Likens was also charged with felony gun possession. His bond was set at $155,000. His wife’s bond was set at $150,000.
They are both scheduled to appear in Macon County General Sessions Court on January 17, 2018.
