RBS Man Arrested for Drugs, Brass Knuckles

A Red Boiling Springs man was arrested Wednesday, February 21, after drugs and brass knuckles were discovered inside his vehicle during a traffic stop.

 

According to the report, Sergeant Joseph Woodard made a traffic stop on a vehicle near the Twins Lane area in Lafayette.
The driver, identified as 42-year-old Sammy Claridy, was found to be driving on a suspended license.
After receiving consent to search the vehicle, Officer Woodard along with K-9 Otto, discovered Hydrocodone pills, approximately 1.08 grams of marijuana, .25 grams of methamphetamine and a pair of brass knuckles.
Mr. Claridy was placed under arrest and taken to the Macon County Jail where he was charged with two counts of simple possession, manufacture, delivery or possession of meth, weapon: prohibited, driving on a suspended license and license plate displayed on wrong vehicle.
His bond was set at $9,400.
A General Sessions Court date was set for March 14.
