Sumner County Stolen Vehicle Found in Macon County

The Macon County Sheriffs Department assisted Sumner County authorities in the recovery of a stolen vehicle on Wednesday, February 28.

According to Macon County Sheriff Mark Gammons, a suspect had stolen several vehicles over a period of a few days in Sumner County, and their investigation led them to believe one of the stolen vehicles – a 2014 Jeep – was located right here in Macon County.
Deputy Josh Boles assisted in the investigation, and the Jeep was discovered stuck and abandoned in the a field next to a residence on Bodock Lane, on the west side of the county.
The vehicle was transported back to Sumner County.
“A suspect has been established, and this case is still under investigation by the Sumner County Sheriff’s Department with,” said the sheriff. “We are assisting in any way we can.”
