MCHS Golf Action
The Macon County High School golf team was in action this past week. They competed in one tournament on Aug 20th and had another match on Aug 21st.
On Monday Aug 20th Macon County played in the Davidson Academy Invitational at Old Hickory Golf Course. The girls placed 4th out of 7 teams and McKaylee Mix shot an 88 while Carson Roddy shot a 91. They boys scores were Landon Polston 77, Issac Meador 78, Hayden Shockley 92, Matthew Henderson 95, and Noah Hale 118. The boys finished 5th out of 12 teams.
On Tuesday Aug 21st the Tigers traveled to Long Hollow Golf Course to compete in a combined match against Gallatin and Station Camp. The boys won by nine strokes with scores of: Polston 73, Meador 74, Shockley 85, Henderson 86, and Hale 96. The girls finished 3rd with Mix shooting an 87 and Roddy shooting a 95.
The team has scheduled matches this week on Aug 27th at Blue Grass GC and on Aug 30th again at Long Hollow GC.
