1st Franklin Employee Arrested for Fake Loans

Red Boiling Springs police arrested 39-year-old Amy Rebecca Coons last Friday, September 7, for taking out fake loans while an employee at 1st Franklin Financial in Lafayette.
According to the affidavit of complaint, Coons took out a total of four fake loans earlier this year, in the names of random people.
Coons received the money from the loans she created, two of which were checks that were supposed to be mailed to customers.
According to the affidavit, Coons admitted to the offense in a statement given to the company before she was terminated.
The total amount of the fake loans was $8,971.38.
Coons was charged with theft of property. Her bond was set at $5,000, and she is scheduled to appear in general sessions court on October 17, 2018.
