Woman Does Donuts in Yard, Hits Parked Vehicle & Nearly Hits Man

 By Jessie Williams

A Kentucky woman was arrested last weekend after striking a vehicle and nearly striking a man while doing donuts in a Wooten Ave. yard.

According to the Affidavit of Complaint filed by Lafayette Police Department Patrolman Byron Butcher, he was dispatched to 104 Wooten Ave. on Sunday, October 21, after a caller reported a female subject in a white Pontiac was doing donuts in his yard and had struck his neighbor’s parked pickup truck at 106 Wooten Ave.

After arriving on the scene, Officer Butcher discovered the damage to the blue pickup and damage to a white Pontiac parked at 117 Wooten Ave. The Pontiac also had blue transfer paint on it from the collision. The yard at 104 Wooten Ave. was also found to have multiple ruts in it.

After running the tags, the Pontiac came back to 35-year-old Kimberly Walker of Fountain Run, Kentucky.

Officer Butcher made contact with Miss Walker who claimed she had done nothing.

One of the residents visually identified Walker as the driver and claimed she nearly hit him when he came outside to investigate. The owner of the blue pickup truck also identified Walker as the reckless driver.

A thorough search of Walker’s vehicle revealed a rolled up dollar bill with residue inside.

Miss Walker was arrested and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, financial responsibility violation, financial responsibility violation, reckless endangerment, failure to give immediate notice, leaving the scene of an accident, aggravated assault, vandalism, registration violation and driver to exercise to due care.

Her bond was set at $18,500, and she is scheduled to appear in General Sessions Court on December 19, 2018.
