$1,000 in Cash Giveaways During Christmas on the Square!

This Saturday, November 17, 2018, you and yours are cordially invited to attend the the highly anticipated holiday event – Christmas on the Square!
Bring the family out to the Lafayette Public Square from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. for a variety of activities including train rides for both kids and adults sponsored by the Lafayette Police Department, refreshments, storytelling, face painting, bouncy houses, children’s art projects and more!
The Lafayette Fire Department will have a fire truck on display and ATV rides will be provided by Lafayette Fire & Rescue and Macon Power Sports.
Santa will be available on the courthouse lawn to visit with children, and several of your child’s favorite characters will also be located around the square for photos including Mickey & Minnie, Frosty and the Gingerbread Man.
Randy East and Cherry Cole have been named this year’s Christmas on the Square emcees.
Holiday art projects will be held inside the county courthouse. These projects are sponsored by the Macon County Arts Council.
As in years past, guests of Christmas on the Square are eligible to enter to win several cash giveaways totaling $1,000 sponsored by participating merchants on the square. Winners must be present to win. You may register for the drawings at any of the participating businesses.
Participating merchants include Inspirations, Gibson’s Cafe, Macon Bank & Trust, the Macon County Chronicle, Cathy’s Flowers & Gifts, Johnson’s Jewelers, Macon Department Store, McClard’s Gifts, Preventia Security, Citizens Bank, Emme Lou’s Boutique, the Macon County Courthouse, Heavenly Hands, 615 Boutique and The Children’s Cottage.

Heavenly Hands: CDB oil presentation
615 Boutique: Giveaways

Inspirations: Free glow-in-the-dark necklaces for kids
The Children’s Cottage: Door prizes, refreshments and giveaways
Gibson’s Cafe: Open for dinner from 4 p.m. – 7 p.m.

Haven’t finished your Christmas shopping yet? Participating merchants on the square will also be offering guests holiday specials throughout the day.
Please remember that for everyone’s safety, there will be no parking on the square during this event.
