Tigers Post two more wins

The Macon County Tigers notched two more wins this week.

On Apr 25th Westmoreland came to town. The Tigers plated the winning run in the 1st inning on the way to a 6-3 final win. Trent Cook was the winning pitcher or record as he threw 4 innings allowing three hits and no earned runs. Classmate Logan Thompson threw 3 innings of relief and allowed one earned run on five hits. Cameron Mercer was 3 for 3, Oakley Stinson was 2 for 3 with two RBIs, and Kade Allen was 2 for 4 scoring two runs.

The Yellow Jackets of Trousdale County came to Lafayette on Friday Apr 26th for a non-conference game. It was Senior night for four young men of the Class of 2019. We want to wish Logan Thompson, Trent Cook, Kade Allen, and Landon Polston the very best as they graduate this spring. Isaac Belton started on the mound for the Tigers and went 5 innings, allowing five hits and no earned runs. Jordon Steen threw two innings of relief. Belton helped his own cause hitting 1 for 3 with a run scored and an RBI while Thompson was 2 for 2 with a run scored as well. Hayden scored the other run in the 3-0 win for the Tigers.

Macon County has a scheduled game at Cannon County on Apr 29th and a make-up game against DeKalb County before heading into post-season action.
