Drug Raid on Wilmore Hollow

At approximately 2:30 a.m. on Friday, July 26, Macon County Sheriff’s Department deputies, detectives, and Sheriff Mark Gammons executed a search warrant at a Wilmore Hollow Rd. residence, following a two-month investigation into the sale of narcotics. 

 

According to Detective Shane Gregory, a search of David Keith Verzier’s residence led to the discovery of an undisclosed amount of meth and marijuana, morphine pills, Xanax pills, loaded guns, scales, pill grinders, pipes, rolling papers and baggies.

Two other subjects – Destiny Presley and Donnie Likens – were inside the home at the time the search warrant was executed. Both individuals had meth and marijuana in their possession. 

At around 3:30 a.m. – while law enforcement officers were still on the scene – a fourth person showed up at the home with a pipe and a baggie containing meth residue in his possession.

This individual – Tommie Purdue – also had a warrant out for his arrest in another county. 

All four subjects were arrested and booked into the Macon County Jail. 

David Verzier, age 57, was charged with possession of a schedule II drug (2 counts), possession of meth for resale, possession of a schedule IV drug and possession of drug paraphernalia. His bond was set at $100,000.

Donnie Lee Likens, 23, was charged with possession of a schedule II drug, possession of meth for resale, unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a schedule VI drug and possession of drug paraphernalia. His bond was set at $50,000. 

Destiny Danielle Presley, age 23, was charged with possession of a schedule II drug for resale, possession of meth for resale and possession of drug paraphernalia. Her bond was set at $35,000. 

Tommie Joe Purdue, age 34, was charged with violation of probation. 

Additional charges are also expected.
