Approx. 32 Grams of Meth Within 20 Feet of School

A 51-year-old Red Boiling Springs woman is being held on $67,000 bond after authorities seized approximately 32 grams of meth from her Landy Lane residence.
According to Macon County Sheriff’s Department Detective Kevin Woodard, a search warrant was obtained following a six-month-long drug investigation.
Authorities executed the search warrant at around 3 p.m. on Friday, August 23.
Inside the home of Constance Sue Porter, officers discovered approximately 32.3 grams of meth – some hidden inside a hair brush in Porter’s purse and some inside a pink case in Porter’s bedroom.
Baggies, an undisclosed amount of cash, pipes, approximately 3.4 grams of marijuana, a revolver, needles, rolling papers and a soup can containing narcotics were also found in the home.
The residence is located within 20 feet of a school.
Porter was charged with possession of a schedule II drug (2 counts), possession of drug paraphernalia, manufacture of narcotics (2 counts) and drug-free school zone violation.
She is scheduled to appear in general sessions court on October 2, 2019.
