MCHS Tigerettes Tie with Livingston

The Macon County Tigerette soccer team play Livingston on Thursday Aug 29th in a non-district game.

The wildcats got on the board first and carried a 1-0 lead to the half. Neither team seemed to be able to apply consistent pressure on the other.

Then the game opened up.

Senior Tigerette Jamie Ashburn converted on a corner kick that ricocheted in to make it 1-1. Then on roughly a 35 yard penalty kick Ashburn was able to bang it home to give the Tigerettes their first lead of the game at 2-1.

Livingston was able to come back and tie the game at 2-2. Then Tigerette Keeley Carter scored to give Macon a 3-2 lead. However the Tigerettes were unable to post a win, giving up a Wildcat goal late to come away with a 3-3 tie in a wide open second half.

The Tigerettes will now travel to Greenbrier on Sep 3rd and host Springfield on Sep 5th for two district matches.
