Bulldogs Lose at Oakdale

The Red Boiling Springs Bulldogs traveled to Morgan County to play the winless Oakdale Eagles on Friday night. They dropped a close one 18-6.

 

The Bulldogs got on the board first. On a one yard quarterback sneak Aubry Link scored in the first period. The conversion failed and RBS led 6-0. The Eagles were able to tie the game and it was 6-6 at the break.

The Bulldogs would run the ball up-and-down the field but just could not score. The Eagles were able to put two more scores on the board in the fourth quarter to take home the victory by a final score of 18-6.

Bulldog Dylan Templeton had a big night with 165 yards on 23 carries. Devan Justice had 81 yards on six carries and Bishop Moore had one carry for 25 yards. . Link was 1 for 6 passing for four yards. For the game the Bulldogs had 276 total yards on offense.

Dalton led all Bulldog tacklers with 11 followed by Bradley Atkins with eight, Justice with seven, and Moore with six.

The Bulldogs will end a three game road trip and be back in the Dogpound this Friday night. They will host Gordonsville (1-5) for a Region 4-A contest. Game time is scheduled for 7 pm.
