Tigerettes Soccer Season Over

The Macon County High School Tigerette soccer season ended this past week in the district tournament.

 

With the #2 seed in the tournament the Tigerettes faced the #3 seeded White House Lady Blue Devils in the semi-finals. The Lady Devils had a 4-1 lead with about 15 minutes left in the game. Then Tigerette forward Keeley Carter scored a barrage of 3 goals to send the match to overtime.

Needing a winner the game was extended into first, then second, ten minute overtime. White House was able to score in the second overtime period to capture the win at 5-4. Carter scored all four goals for the Tigerettes.

Awards were announced at the end of the district tournament. Jamie Ashburn and Morgan Carter were announced as All-District 9-AA and Emily Ashburn and Sadie Morgan were named to the All-Tournament Team. Keeley Carter was named the 9-AA MVP and Coach Terrance Pryor was named Coach of the Year.

Macon finished with a 10-5-1 record on the season. Congratulations to the Tigerettes!
