An 18-year-old Red Boiling Springs man was arrested last week for allegedly having two baggies of marijuana, eight baggies containing marijuana residue and two containers of marijuana paste in his vehicle while dropping off two juveniles at Macon County High School.

According to the Affidavit of Complaint filed by Detective Shane Gregory of the Macon County Sheriff’s Department, the officer arrived at the high school on October 23, 2019 to be present for a vehicle search being conducted by MCHS Student Resource Officer Terry Atkins.

The vehicle was believed to have narcotics inside, and the driver – Isaac Stubbs – gave consent for law enforcement to search his car.

Inside, officers discovered a black Nike bag that contained two clear, plastic zip-lock bags containing a green, leafy substance and eight other baggies with a green, leafy residue inside that Stubbs stated was marijuana.

Two white, plastic containers with a brown paste inside were also found by officers.

This substance was confirmed by Mr. Stubbs to be marijuana paste which is commonly smoked in vape pipes.

Other items found in the vehicle were empty baggies with marijuana leafs printed on them and digital scales.

The vehicle was parked at the front door of Macon County High School were Mr. Stubbs had dropped off two underage students for school. The two juveniles were charged for their part in the matter by SRO Atkins.

Mr. Stubbs was arrested and booked into the Macon County Jail on charges of manufacture of narcotics, possession of drug paraphernalia and drug-free school zone violations.

His bond was set at $15,000, and he is scheduled to appear in general sessions court on December 11, 2019.
