Santa Wants Letters From Kids

By Debbie Gregory

Once again Santa Claus has requested that the Macon County Chronicle collect his mail from the children in our area and forward it to him at the North Pole toy workshop.

Santa also asked us to remind boys and girls that their letters should be mailed as soon as they make up their minds what they want for Christmas. Mr. Claus made no promises about bringing everything that each child wants, however he did mention something about being good, watching out, not crying and not pouting.

The Macon County Chronicle is always more than glad to help the jolly old guy make sure he receives every child’s Christmas wish list, and we will print the letters in our upcoming December, Christmas issue.

Boys and girls are asked to write clearly and to include their names and ages with their letters. They must be submitted by noon on Monday, December 9, 2019, and can be dropped off at the Chronicle office (located at 109 Public Square in Lafayette) or mailed to us at P.O. Box 409, Red Boiling Springs, Tn.

The last thing Santa told us was that he and the elves are working 24 hours a day and expect to continue until Christmas Eve. But he has decided once again to fly into Macon County for the Lafayette and RBS Christmas Parades after consulting with Rudolph and the other reindeers, explaining that it would be a good run before the actual night, considering they were all a little rusty after 12 months.

So, you better get out that pencil and paper and write your letter, because Santa Claus will be expecting to hear from you soon!
