By Jessie Williams

Three individuals were arrested on drug charges last week following a routine traffic stop.

A report written by arresting officer Detective Jacob McClard, states that he pulled over a vehicle that crossed a double yellow line four times while traveling on January 30, 2020.

The driver of the vehicle was identified as 26-year-old Zachery Graves, the male passenger was identified as 24-year-old Justin Kittrell, and the female passenger was identified as 20-year-old Madison Minchey.

It was discovered that Mr. Graves had an active warrant out for his arrest in Macon County, and he was placed under arrest.

Officer McClard observed a glass pipe with white residue inside, believed to be methamphetamine, laying next to the passenger seat. A purple bong, used to smoke marijuana, was also later found inside the vehicle.

Deputy Tim Freeman spoke with Miss Minchey, who admitted to having illegal narcotics on her person. At that time, she pulled a zip-lock bag out of her pants that contained a crystalized substance believed to be methamphetamine.

The crystalized substance weighed approximately 29 grams.

Kittrell was charged with manufacture/delivery/possession of meth, driving while in possession of meth and manufacture of narcotics.

Graves was charged with violation of probation, manufacture/delivery/possession of meth, manufacture of narcotics and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Each of them received a bond amount of $30,000.
