Eighteen-year-old Austin Dale Sanders, of Macon County, was charged on March 22 with statutory rape, sexual battery, two counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor, and two counts of solicitation of a person under the age of 18.
According to a report filed by the Macon County Sheriff’s Department, two juvenile girls stated that Austin Sanders coerced them into his car and drove to McDonalds around 12:00 a.m. When they returned to an address in western Macon County, Sanders reportedly parked the car. One girl returned to her residence.
The other juvenile girl stated that she and Austin began kissing, and he made her get into the backseat of the car. She also stated that she repeatedly told him no, but he made her have sex with him.
Austin Sanders admitted to law enforcement that sexual contact had been made between him and the underage girl.
Bond was set at $250,000 and a General Sessions Court date is set for May 6.
