Hwy 52 Yard Sale & Teacher Appreciation Event Cancelled

The Macon County Chamber of Commerce would like to update our members and the community of our Chamber and activities closings.   We are trying to follow the guidelines given to us from the State level on our functions and yet continue to oversee the Welcome Center.

The community room at the Welcome Center that is rented for different occasions, and the entire Welcome Center which includes the office of the Macon County Chamber of Commerce, has been closed to the public since mid-March.  This closing will remain in effect through the month of May, and will be reevaluated at that point to know the future operation of this building and its’ opening, as well as other scheduled events.

The annual Teacher Appreciation Day that was scheduled for May 7, 2020 has been cancelled.  This event has always been a proud moment for celebrating the Macon County school teachers, and will no doubt be on the 2021 schedule of events.

Highway 52 Yard Sale that was scheduled for May 15 and 16, 2020 has been cancelled. Since this is a Chamber sponsored event, we cannot officially sponsor the event this year.  The Chamber has in the past provided assistance to the vendors as needed before and during this event. We look forward to sponsoring the event in 2021.

We look for better times ahead and strive to remain patient and safe through this Corona Virus Pandemic.  If you have a need of the Macon County Chamber of Commerce, please feel free to call and leave a message at 615-666-5885, or e-mail us at maconchamber@nctc.com and we will get back in touch with you.

Blessings to all!
