Fire Destroys Historic RBS Home

A historic two-story home in Red Boiling Springs, which was built in 1914, was completely destroyed by fire on Saturday afternoon, May 30th.

According to the Red Boiling Springs Fire Department, upon arrival at the Bennett Hill home, they found the structure fully involved. The home was a total loss.

The fire department was at the scene for approximately four hours and they utilized an engine and a tanker.

Those responding to the scene beside the RBS Fire Department, were the Red Boiling Springs Police Department, RBS Gas Company, Tri-County Electric, Macon County Sheriff’s Department, and the Macon County Chronicle.
