Wanted Texas Man Arrested in Macon

A man wanted on two major felony charges in Texas, was arrested near Galen Road in Macon County last week.
According to the report filed by arresting officer Logan Swindle of the Macon County Sheriff’s Department, the deputy was dispatched to the Galen Rd./Antioch Rd. area, around midnight on July 1, 2020, where two suspicious male subjects were reported to be walking.
Deputy Swindle was able to locate the two men and identified one of them as 25-year-old Matthew Thomas Millard-Hunt, of Okeechobee, Florida.
When his name was ran through the national crime database, it was discovered Mr. Millard-Hunt was wanted on two major felony charges in Denton, Texas.
He was arrested on a fugitive from justice charge and booked into the Macon County Jail, where he is awaiting his extradition.
The other male subject did not have any warrants and was questioned and released.
