Man Shot on Shiloh Rd. – Police Continue Investigation to Find Shooter

Local authorities are currently investigating a shooting that injured a Macon County man last week.

According to Macon County Sheriff Mark Gammons, his department was notified on Wednesday, August 5, that a man had been shot in the arm on Shiloh Road. 

When officers arrived on the scene, they discovered the male victim with a gunshot wound and interviewed several witnesses. 

Witnesses indicated that three or four rounds were fired. 

After further investigation, officers discovered one round had hit a grill and another round struck a motorcycle. It was also determined that the gunfire came from a wooded area located near the side of the victim’s home. 

The victim was transported by helicopter to receive medical treatment. 

As the investigation continues, Sheriff Gammons urges anyone with information regarding this case to contact his department. Callers do have the option to remain anonymous.
