Warrant out for Arrest of Suspect in Vehicle Theft

A warrant is out for the arrest of a suspect identified in a recent vehicle theft. 

 

According to Detective Shane Gregory of the Macon County Sheriff’s Department, Deputy Josh Meador responded to 1854 Austin Rd. to investigate a report regarding a stolen 2015 white Nissan Sentra on Sunday, November 1. 

The victim reported seeing a white pickup truck with three individuals inside pull up to the residence. A female suspect then got out of the truck, entered her parked car and drove off in it.

Later the same day, Deputy Meador responded to the 2000 block of Coleytown Rd. to investigate a suspicious vehicle. Upon running the car’s tag, it was found to be the stolen Nissan Sentra. 

The parked vehicle was empty, and it’s suspected it was left there when the suspect’s ran out of gas. 

The victim was contacted by law enforcement to come pick up the vehicle and the female suspect who stole the car was identified. A warrant is currently out for her arrest.
