Helping Our Neighbors: Food Giveaway
During these days of economic hardship, due in part to COVID 19, folks have been struggling to pay their bills and feed their families. Today, it is more important than ever that we come together as a community and help our neighbors.
Thanks to a special program offered through the State of Tennessee and a partnership with Community Connection Church, Lafayette United Methodist Church and the Methodist Hispanic Fellowship, 1000 plus boxes of food will be distributed to those in need, on Monday, November 23, at Community Connection located at 654 Hwy. 52 By Pass West in Lafayette.
A truck will arrive at Community Connection Church at 1:30 p.m. for unloading that day, November 23, and volunteers are needed to help out. Also, if you know anyone who might need a box of food, please tell them about this event and ask them to come by, or you can pick up a box and take it to them. If neither of you can come, let us know and we will figure out a way to deliver it to them. Of course, there will be a wait while the truck is being unloaded.
Remember to use social distancing precautions, and please help us get the word out to those in need. If you have any questions, please contact Pastor Mark at 615-655-4457.
