Macon Community Hospital Adds COVID-19 Testing Tent
Macon Community Hospital has added a collection tent for COVID19 samples for rapid testing and PCR testing.
The tent is located at the laboratory entrance at West Locust S.t location. The best way to access the entrance to tent would be from HWY 52 and turn on the West Locust St and proceed toward the hospital. After you pass the hospital main entrance you will see the collection tent.
Jennifer Flippin Lab Manager said “this will help with collection of specimens when temps are extremely cold, snowy, or raining.” When you arrive you need to either bring a physician/provider order for testing or have already had your physician/provider fax an order to our lab department (Our laboratory fax # is 6156666300) Once you have arrived at the location call 6156667610 ext. 363. You will be given a pass code which is a unique number specifically for you to use to call back in 4-6 hours to get your results.
Testing in the tent is Monday -Friday 7am till 5pm. If testing is needed after hours enter thru main/emergency entrance with physician-provider order and someone will instruct you from there. For more information on this or any of our services you can access www.mcgh.net or give us a call.
