Over 16 Grams of Cocaine Inside RBS Home

By Jessie Williams

Two men and a woman were arrested last week after Macon County Sheriff’s Department officers searched a Red Boiling Springs home and discovered a large amount of cocaine, along with paraphernalia commonly used in the sale of narcotics.

According to Detective Shane Gregory, he and other officers arrived at 309 McClure St. in RBS on January 26, 2021 after receiving information that suspected drug activity was occurring at the residence.

The resident, 47-year-old Angela Bandy, was out of jail on probation for the sale of narcotics.

Ralph Cox, age 54, answered the door for police and allowed them inside.

A search of the home was conducted with Cox, Angela Bandy, Kevin Luke Bandy and Richard Birge present.

Detectives found approximately 16.28 grams of a white, powdery substance that field-tested positive for cocaine in a bedroom, along with two sets of digital scales and more bags of the same type of substance, which also tested positive for cocaine.

In a safe, an undisclosed amount of cash was discovered and seized by authorities for the sale of narcotics.

More digital scales, several canisters of NARCAN nasal spray and baggies, containing a residue that field tested-positive for methamphetamine, were also discovered during the search.

Angela Bandy, Ralph Cox and Kevin Luke Bandy were arrested and charged with manufacturing of narcotics, manufacture/delivery/possession of cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia.

They were each given a $30,000 bond, and are scheduled to appear in general sessions court on February 3, 2021.
