COVID-19 Drive-Thru Vaccine Clinic Set For May 8, 2021
If you haven’t got your COVID-19 vaccine yet, or if you are waiting to get your second shot, Macon Community Hospital is partnering with the Macon County Health Department to host a COVID-19 Drive-Thru Vaccine Clinic on Saturday, May 8th, from 9 a.m. till 3 p.m.
This is a joint effort to make sure that everyone who wants the COVID-19 vaccination gets it, and the Moderna vaccine will be provided free of charge.
If this is your second dose, and it has been at least 28 days since your first injection, please bring your vaccination card and a staff member will mark your card accordingly.
From Hwy. 52, turn in at Days Road and go to the second entrance at the high school, where COVID-19 vaccination signs will be posted, drive up beside the gym where the clinic will be set up, and stay in your car. Someone will bring you the one page registration, and ask you a few questions and you will sign at the bottom. You will receive a packet that will tell you what to expect after you are vaccinated. After you get the vaccination, your will be asked to pull into the parking lot and wait for 15 minutes.
“We are hoping that everyone in Macon County will do their part in fighting COVID-19, and get their vaccination this Saturday at the drive thru event,” said Matt Tuck, with the Macon County Health Department.
“In conjunction with the mass vaccination, Macon Community Hospital is offering $25 gift cards to the first 250 people who get vaccinated this Saturday,” said Thomas Kidd.
