TBI Investigating RBS Death
Tennessee Bureau of Investigation special agents are investigating a death in Red Boiling Springs, after a woman was found dead in her home on Tuesday night, August 10, 2021.
A family member discovered the victim, 42-year-old Tracy Chestnut, who had been shot along with the family’s dogs.
According to a source close to the family, a suspect has been apprehended in New Mexico. This is a very active on-going investigation.

Tracy Hood Chestnut, age 42, died Tuesday, August 10, 2021, at her residence in Red Boiling Springs. Born October 25, 1978 in Lebanon, she was the daughter of the late Wallace Glenn Hood and Frances Louise Grissim and was preceded in death by her brothers, Riley Edwin Cummings and Michael Glenn Hood.
Tracy was a graduate of Lebanon High School and was a longtime clerk at the Discount Tobacco Store on South Cumberland in Lebanon.
She is survived by her sister, Tammy (Jack) Wallace of Lebanon; brother, Christopher Shane Hood of Lebanon; nieces and nephews.
Graveside services and interment will be at 1 p.m. Monday, August 16, 2021, at Cedar Grove Cemetery in Lebanon with Bro. Dewayne Grissom officiating. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. till service time Hunter Funeral Home.
