Lafayette Police Investigating Wreck 

An Athens, Tennessee man was driving a minivan on Church Street toward Highway 52, when he lost control of his vehicle and hit a mailbox. His vehicle flipped, pinning him in. After he was extricated, he was airlifted for medical treatment. Those responding were the Lafayette Police Department, Macon County EMS, Lafayette Fire Department, and Macon County Rescue Squad. This is still an open investigation by the Lafayette Police Department. No more information was available at press time. (Photo by K. Belle)
