Woman Dies in Camper Fire
An 83-year-old woman died in a camper fire on Trammel Creek Road, in Macon County, early Wednesday morning, September 8.
The Westmoreland Fire Department responded to the fire and the Lafayette Fire Department provided mutual aid.
According to Westmoreland Fire Chief Mark Jenkins, the fire started in the camper and spread to the home, causing heavy damage to the structure.
Westmoreland had eight firefighters at the scene and utilized an engine and a tanker.
The Lafayette Fire Department had 13 firefighters at the scene, along with one engine, one tanker, mini truck and support truck.
The TBI was called in to investigate.
It has been confirmed that the victim was Nancy Pridemore.
