Wanted Woman Arrested With Meth

A Macon County woman is behind bars after officers discovered approximately 7 grams of methamphetamine in her possession. 

According to the Affadavit of Complaint, Deputy Josh Meador and Sergeant Jacob Law arrived at a residence on Wixtown Rd. during the early morning hours of October 25, 2021, following a report of an intoxicated individual.

The officers were familiar with the address and were aware that one of the residents, 38-year-old Ashley Cummins, had outstanding warrants for violating probation and failing to appear.

Upon the officers’ arrival, they made contact with Cummins. While taking her into custody, officers discovered she had a baggie on her person containing a substance believed to be methamphetamine, along with several empty baggies.

Following a complete search, during which additional methamphetamine was found, the total amount weighed approximately 7 grams. 

Cummins was booked into the Macon County Jail on the charges of violation of probation (3 counts), failure to appear, manufacture of narcotics, manufacture/delivery/possession of meth and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Her bond was set at $50,000, and she is scheduled to appear in general sessions court on Nov. 3, 2021 and Jan. 26, 2022.
