Lafayette Firefighters Provide Mutual Aid in RBS
On Tuesday afternoon, December 28th, 2021, Lafayette firefighters responded to a residential structure fire on Lafayette Road, in Red Boiling Springs, around 1:40 p.m., to provide mutual aid to RBS Fire & Rescue.
Upon arrival, the 2-story vinyl wood frame house was fully involved and the 100 plus year old dwelling was reported to be a total loss. According to Shift Captain Michael Bransford, who was the officer in charge from Lafayette, they utilized Engine #1, Engine #2 and Truck #9. There was 11 Lafayette firefighters at the scene.
Red Boiling Springs Fire Chief, Randall Bray, was in charge of the scene from his department and they utilized an engine and a tanker. Several RBS firefighters were also at the scene.
The Lafayette Fire Department remained at the scene until 5:30 p.m.
