Wanted Westmoreland Man Caught in KY

A wanted Westmoreland man was arrested in Kentucky last week on a long list of charges that occurred in Macon County in November 2021.

According to the 2021 affidavit of complaint, 33-year-old Robert Irwin, fled from a driveway where a search warrant was being conducted on Tooley Branch Rd. 

A few days later, law enforcement observed Irwin’s silver Dodge Avenger and it was discovered the tags did not match the vehicle.

A traffic stop was conducted at the residence of 2070 Siloam Church Rd. and, as the vehicle came to a rest, Mr. Irwin fled.

An inventory search of the vehicle led to the discovery of approximately 227.4 grams of methamphetamine, 3.5 grams of marijuana, 10.5 Alprazolam pills, 3 sets of digital scales, multiple clear baggies, two torch lighters, a glass pipe and two cell phones, 

It was later discovered Mr. Irwin’s driver’s license was revoked.

Following his arrest in Kentucky, Mr. Irwin was charged with manufacturing of narcotics, mfg/del/poss. of meth, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving on revoked license, evading arrest, possession of schedule IV drugs and driving while in possession of meth in Macon County on January 26, 2022. 

His bond was revoked and he is scheduled to appear in General Sessions Court on February 2, 2022.
