Employee Arrested for Stealing Over $21,000

Donner Kay Manier, age 53, is accused of stealing over $21,000 in cash from Peggy’s Market while she was an employee at the locally owned store. 

According to an affidavit of complaint filed by Sergeant Bobby Jacoby, of the Macon County Sheriff’s Office, he was dispatched to Peggy’s Market, on January 15, 2023, to speak with the owner about an employee that stole money. 

The owner provided the officer with video footage of Manier stealing from money bags located inside the store. Manier also took cash from the cash register.

After totaling up the missing money, the owner came up with a sum of $21,200.

Manier was located in Gallatin, and taken into custody. She was transported to the Macon County Jail and charged with Theft of Property.  

Her bond was set at $20,000, and she is scheduled to appear in general sessions court on March 15, 2023.
