NWTF Receives Recognition at State Capital

The 50th Anniversary of the National Wild Turkey Federation (NWTF) was recognized in the House at the Capital on Thursday, Feb. 16.
The 50th Anniversary of the National Wild Turkey Federation (NWTF) was recognized in the Tennessee Senate and House at the Capital this past Thursday Feb 16th. The organization was commended for their habitat work, which benefited more than the wild turkey, but also their championing of the hunting heritage.
NWTF State Chapter President, Mark Darnell, along with other members of the Tennessee State Board of Directors was on hand to receive the joint resolution.
In addition the Tennessee State Chapter of the NWTF received the 2023 Conservation Partnership award, along with the Indiana State Chapter, for their unique conservation partnership in funding a research project to benefit the Eastern subspecies of the wild turkey conducted by the University of Tennessee.
