Jean Hurt

Jean Hurt, 74, of Scottsville, KY passed away
Tuesday, February 28, 2023 at T.J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow, KY. The Fountain Run, KY native was the owner and operator of Hurt’s Garage Sale, a farmer, former employee of Walton’s Tea Factory and Marsh’s 5 & 10, world’s record Hula Hoop Queen and member of Cedar Cross Missionary Baptist Church. She was a daughter of the late Benton Pedigo and Zella Dee McCoy Pedigo and wife of the late Harold Dean Hurt.

She is survived by 1 son: Johnny Dean Hurt and wife, Linda, Lafayette, TN; 1 daughter: Tammie Lindsey and husband, Randy, Scottsville, KY; 1 sister: Judy Ann Poland and husband, Charles, Ft. Run, KY; 1 granddaughter: Heather Spears (Scottie); 5 great grandchildren: Morgan, Hallie, David, Nikeisha and Myleigh; 1 special niece: Debbie Kay Wilkerson and husband, Floyd, CO and several other nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 2 brothers: Jimmie Pedigo (Linda) and Jessie Pedigo (Anita).

Funeral service will be 1:00 P.M. Friday, March 3, 2023 at Goad Funeral Home with Bro. Tim Meador officiating and burial in Allen County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 2:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Thursday and after 7:00 A.M. Friday until funeral time at Goad Funeral Home.
