Lady Bulldogs lose to Clarkrange

The season for the Lady Bulldogs ended this past week. They lost in region play to Clarkrange.

The Red Boiling Springs Lady Bulldogs had high hopes for the 2023 Basketball season but Clarkrange made two three pointers and the Lady Bulldogs got within three points late in the fourth quarter. Four straight possessions found no points for the Lady Bulldogs and the Lady Buffaloes held on for a 66-59 win. This game ended the career for Lady Bulldog seniors Claire Fleming and Bre Thompson as they say good bye but these two great players have left us with no regrets. Thanks ladies.

Claire Fleming finished with 32 points and Bre Thompson added 12 points but the Lady Bulldogs had trouble getting good shots. The Lady Bulldogs shot only 13% from two point range and 0 for 9 in the first half on 3 pointers. All you can say is the Lady Buffaloes were the better team on this night.

The Lady Bulldogs just were a tired team even though they hustled for the entire game. The Lady Bulldogs came close to picking up a huge win but good open shots just were not there. Chloe Powell and Bailey Massengille had six points between them but once again shots were hard to come by. DeAwndria Polk had two points and Josie Green had seven points for a total of 59.

Now we look back at so many great memories and our winter was much better with these kids. Three wins over 3A schools by a combined total of 44 points. Notched victories at Smith County, Clarkrange, Jackson County and Monterey, plus almost winning two close games against Clay County. We could go on and own but space is limited.
