Dorothy Fleetwood
Dorothy Sue Fleetwood was born into this world on October 6, 1938, in West Salem, Illinois, to Herbert Lynch and Hazel Bunting. She departed this life on March 20, 2023, at the age of eighty-four years, five months, and fourteen days.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her Father and Step-Mother, Herbert and Annetta Lynch; Mother, Hazel Bunting Hillenberg; and Sister, Beverly Posante. Dorothy was a long-time member of the Lafayette First Baptist Church. She retired from Ingram Barge Line where she was a cook. Dorothy worked there for seventeen years.
In her spare time, Dorothy enjoyed cooking and taking care of her home. She also enjoyed going out shopping to look for antiques. Above else, Dorothy loved spending time with her family and friends. She will be dearly missed by all that knew and loved her. Daughter, Pamela Butler and husband, Ed; Sons, Michael Dean and wife, Diane, and Robert Dean and wife, Patsy; Brothers, Ron Lynch and wife, Michele, Jim Lynch and wife, Kathy, and Samuel Lynch and wife, Leslie. Eleven Grandchildren, Twenty-Three Great-Grandchildren, and Six Great-Great- Grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services for Dorothy Sue Fleetwood were conducted on Friday, March 24, 2023, from The Chapel of Alexander Funeral Home with Pastor Ron Mathis officiating. Interment followed in The Macon County Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers were Joshua Stergis, Christopher Carter, Phillip Dean, Johnathon Dean, Jason Brooks, and Hayden Dean.
