Fire Destroys Big Ed’s BBQ in RBS

On Saturday afternoon, April 1, the Red Boiling Springs Fire Department was dispatched to a fire at Big Ed’s BBQ, located inside the city limits.

The fire department received the call around 12:30 p.m. and according to Chief Randall Bray, who was in charge of the scene, the structure was involved when they arrived.

The department utilized two engines and a tanker and there was six firefighters at the scene. 

The Lafayette Fire Department responded to a mutual aid call and they sent an engine, a tanker and 12 firefighters. Captain Michael Bransford was in charge of the Lafayette crew.

Chief Bray said the business was a total loss.
