Naked Man Attempts Break-In at RBS City Hall & Police Dept.

The Red Boiling Springs Police Department has charged a man for attempting to break into their City Hall and Police Department. 

On Wednesday, April 19, 2023, 31-year-old RBS resident James Whalen, jogged up to RBS City Hall and Police Department with nothing on but socks. Whalen then punched and kicked the glass doors, in what appeared to be an attempt to gain entry into the building. 

RBS officer Zach Culbertson later made contact with Whalen, who had found clothes, and he was taken into custody for Public Intoxication. 

After further investigation, Chief James Killmon was made aware of the video footage of Whalen’s endeavor and he was then charged with Indecent Exposure and Attempted Burglary.

Mr. Whalen is currently being housed in the Macon County Jail pending his $10,500 bond.
