A former Performance Feeds employee is accused of making multiple purchases at a local hardware store and charging them to the company’s account after he was no longer an employee there.
According to the Affidavit of Complaint, filed by Officer Justin Bergdorff of the Lafayette Police Department, the owner of Performance Feeds reported that he had a former employee charging his account at Ace Hardware.
It was determined that the suspect, 30-year-old Tyler Patrick Poole, went into Ace Hardware on multiple occasions and used the Performance Feed charge account, signing with a current employee’s name, as if he was purchasing items for the business.
The total of all of the purchases, made between March 30 – May 3, was $5,744. Miscellaneous items and gift cards were included in the purchases.
Poole was charged with theft of property and forgery. His bond is set at $20,000, and he is scheduled to appear in general sessions court on July 5, 2023.
