Larry Wilson


Larry Ray Wilson, 80, of Lafayette, TN passed away Saturday, April 15th, at his Residence. Larry was born in Macon County, TN on September 13, 1942, a son of the late Virgie (Ford) and Comer Wilson.

In 2000, he married Yolanda Kozyra in Griffith, IN. Larry worked in Maintenance at Pactiv Corporation in Griffith, IN for 42 years. In his spare time he enjoyed collecting coins, guns, knives, metal kids toys and antique gum machines with marbles. He was a member of New Liberty General Baptist Church.

Larry is survived by his wife, Yolanda (Kozyra) Wilson of Lafayette, three daughters, Lisa Rae, wife of Kevin James, of Maryland; Rhonda Lou Wilson, of Ohio; Shonda Sue, wife of Scott Covington, of Pennsylvania; a step daughter, Amber, wife of James Harrison, of Indiana; a step son, Brian, husband of Beth Garner, of Ohio; he is also survived by 10 grandchildren, Derrick & wife, Samantha, Tasha, Chloe, Chase, Bradley, Lindsey, Bailey, Bella, Bryson & Blake, 6 great-grandchildren, Xylee, Maddison, Troux, Cayden, Arbor & Elijah. Larry is also survived by two brothers, Harold, husband of Mary Wilson, of Indiana; Denzel Wilson, husband of, Marielle, of Indiana, and sisters-in-law, Karen Wilson, of Indiana and Janet Wilson, of Kentucky. His parents, Comer & Virgie Wilson, son, Ricky Wilson, sister, Shirley Wilson McLeary (and husband, Bob), brothers, Darrell, Lovell(and wife, Catherine), Roy (and wife, Shirley), Ford & Stanton Wilson and great grandson, Huxley, preceded him in death.

Funeral Service will be held 1 PM on Wednesday, April 19th at New Liberty Baptist Church in Bugtussle Community of Monroe County. Jonathan Marsh will officiate. Visitation will be held 4 PM to 8 PM on Tuesday, April 18th at Yokley Trible Funeral Home in Tompkinsville, KY. and 10 AM to 1 PM on Wednesday, April 19th at New Liberty Baptist Church in Bugtussle Community. Burial will be in Rocky Hill Cemetery. Memorials suggested in Larry’s memory to Rocky Hill Cemetery or New Liberty Baptist Church. Pallbearers- Doyle, George, Jerry, Terry, Darrick, Harold and Denzil Wilson, Jimmy McLeary, Jimmy Curtis, and Bryson Garner.
