Frank was born on July 6th, 1944, to Lloyd and Chloe Sweezy. He had four older brothers, two older sisters and one younger sister. Being the youngest of eight siblings, Frank and his little sister Peggy had a special bond as children that continued into adulthood. Even when he moved to Indiana to find work after graduating high school, he remained close with all his siblings. Frank was a driven, hardworking man. His days typically started at sunrise and often extended well past sunset. He was a jack of all trades and a master of many. One of his greatest talents was telling jokes. He always knew how to make the people around him laugh. He worked in construction for his entire adult life building everything from garden sheds to skyscrapers. His business, Sweezy Construction, became one of the go-to construction companies in central Indiana for nearly two decades. He was a beloved member of his community who sponsored little league softball teams, plowed ice- and snow-covered parking lots for local businesses and played Santa Paws for nearby animal shelters to help find homes for all the animals. He spent his days off either at home with his wife Evelyn working in their flower and vegetable gardens or helping his friends and neighbors with odd jobs. After he retired, his favorite activity was sitting on their front porch with Evelyn and their dogs watching all the birds and squirrels that visited their bird feeders. He loved as hard as he worked. He loved Evelyn and all their critters, wild or tame. He loved his neighbors, his friends, and his family.
Frank is survived by his wife, Evelyn (Miles) Sweezy and their morkie Miss Callie of Fortville, IN; a slew of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and -nephews, and great-great-nieces and -nephews; and a host of friends and neighbors that will mourn his passing.
