1st Annual First Responders Day Set for Saturday, July 15

We’ve been working on something big lately and we’re excited to share the news with you all! 

Our 1st annual First Responder Day will be held Saturday, July 15, from 11 AM to 4 PM at the Macon County Fairgrounds !

We are very excited to spend a fun day with our community, and we hope to see all of you there. 

Events for kids will include face painting, bounce houses, water games, a bubble party, and help from the Lafayette Fire Department to help keep everybody cooled off.

The Touch-A-Truck event will also be a great way for kids to tour first responder vehicles including ambulances, firetrucks, police cars, rescue vehicles and helicopters.

You won’t want to miss the Dunk-A-Hero booth, where you’ll get the chance to dunk a first responder. Proceeds from this booth will go to local first responder charities. 

We will also be providing free food and drinks while supplies last.

Each agency will have a career booth set up for information on applications and requirements for working at each department!
