Bobby Gene Austin, age 86 of Lafayette, TN passed away Sunday morning, July 16, 2023 at his residence in Lafayette, TN.

Funeral Services were conducted Thursday afternoon, July 20, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. from the chapel of Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Lafayette. Interment followed in the Whitley Cemetery. Deacon Greene, Gunner Plantinga, Ryatt Plantinga, Mason Butler, Rowyn Butler, Ridge Austin served as Honorary Pallbearers Gene Austin, John Austin, Benjamin Austin, Shaun Douglas Butler, Austin Butler, Eric Brooks, Jerry Nesbitt, Mariel Cook served as pallbearers.

Bobby Gene Austin was born March 13, 1937 in Lafayette, TN, the son born to the late Virgil Smith & Gladys Shaw Austin, and departed this life July 16, 2023at the age of 86 years & 4 months. He married the love of his life, Samanatha Jane Turner Austin on May 25, 1957. They shared 66 wonderful years together. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by daughter, Kathy Austin & brother, Michael Austin. Bobby was the president of A & M Concrete Company. Bobby attended Woodline Church of Christ & Waltons Chapel.

Survivors include: Wife, Samanatha Austin of Lafayette, Sons & Daughtersin-law, Bobby Gene Austin Jr. & wife, Louise Austin of Franklin, John & Gail Austin of Lyles, Daughter & Son-in-law, Sherlan & Chuck Perry of Lexington, KY, Sisters, Sue Brooks of Lafayette, Betty Austin of Gallatin, Rita Pedigo of Lafayette, Brother, Junior Austin of Lafayette, 8 Grandchildren, 4 Great-Grandchildren, & 5 Great-Great Grandchildren.
