Bulldogs claim lop-sided victory over Sunbright

The Red Boiling Springs Bulldogs set school records last Friday night with a record setting victory by going on the road and claiming a 61-0 win over an outmanned Sunbright Tigers squad.

This victory of 61 points was a huge record setting performance that is expected to last a long time.

Bulldog quarterback Aubrey Link passed for six touchdowns and rushed for two more to give the Bulldog crowd something to cheer about early in this lopsided game. We must not forget the play of Bulldog running back Will Massey as the junior rushed for three touchdowns, including an 18 yard scamper that the Bulldog fans will not soon forget.

Junior running back Tyler Lancaster gave the Bulldog fans something to get excited about in the third quarter when he took a pitch from quarterback Link and 52 yards later Lancaster scored a touchdown to give the Bulldogs an insurmountable lead and also a standing ovation. Lancaster has struggled this season but appears to be ready for a great season.

The defense side saw Dalton Dallas with eight solo tackles along with Joe Birdwell who had six solo tackles and a fumble recovery. Freshman Brody Huffiness had 5 tackles. The Bulldogs got a good effort from Juniors Kelly Wheeler and Adrian Saber.

The Bulldogs will return to action at home this Friday as Midway comes to the Dog Pound. Kick-off will be at 7 pm.
