RBS Starmart Robbed at Gunpoint

The Starmart in Red Boiling Springs was robbed at gunpoint by three individuals last Friday night.
According to Red Boiling Springs Police Chief Joseph Woodard, a male individual in a black mask and black jacket entered the market around 9:30 p.m. and held the clerk at gunpoint while another male and a female were posted outside, behind the market.
The suspects cut the phone lines and lines to the store’s camera system, and took two employee cell phones.
The robbers got away with an undisclosed amount of cash, cigarettes and the store’s camera system.
No-one was injured during the robbery.
According to Chief Woodard, similar events have taken place in surrounding counties and they may be connected.
The investigation is ongoing, and anyone with information is urged to contact the Red Boiling Springs Police Department or the Macon County Sheriff’s Office. Callers may remain anonymous.
