Bedford Bean, Jr, age 82 of the Mt. Vernon Community in Clay County, TN passed away Friday evening, August 25, 2023 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center in Cookeville, TN.
Funeral Services for Bedford Bean, Jr were conducted Monday afternoon, August 28, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. from the chapel of Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Red Boiling Springs, TN with Eric Copas officiating. Interment followed in the Anderson & Son Memorial Park. Trace Browning, John Wayne Browning, Jeff Gentry, Brandon Boone, Dr. Don Asberry, Andrew Walker, & Jose Perez served as pallbearers.
Bedford Bean, Jr. was born September 16, 1940 in Clay County, Tennessee, one of three siblings born to the late Bedford & Gertie Browning Bean. On October 27, 1966, he married the love of his life, Frances Holman Bean, who survives. They shared over 56 wonderful years together. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by sister, Gladys & husband, Carl Cherry; brother, Coel Bean, & brother-in-law, Joe Holman. Bedford worked as a shipping foreman at the former Osh Gosh B-Gosh for 30 plus years and was a janitor for Hermitage Springs School. Bedford loved to feed and watch hummingbirds.
Survivors besides his wife, Frances include: sons and daughter-in-law, Roger & April Bean, Ron Bean, grandchildren, Emerson & Camden Bean, sisters-in-law & brother-in-law, Shirley Bean all of Mt Vernon Community; Susie & Marvin Cherry of the Oak Grove Community; brothers-in-law & sisters-in-law, Jim Holman of Texas, Arnold & Sherry Holman of Lascassas, Eugene & Phyllis Holman of Brush Creek, and several nieces, nephews & friends.
