Bulldogs smash Mt Juliet Christian

The Red Boiling Springs Bulldogs got a big win on homecoming last Friday night over Mt Juliet Christian. Bulldog faithful were rewarded with a 42-12 victory.

The homecoming parade was the greatest that Red Boiling Springs High School has seen in a while as a record crowd not only attended but a record crowd came to the game.

The Bulldogs scored their first touchdown just four minutes into the game on a 12 yard scamper by Aubrey Link followed by 44 yard run by Tyler Lancaster and the Bulldogs led 14-0 after the first quarter. Bulldog offensive lineman Dalton Dallas picked up a fumble and 36 yards later Dallas was standing in the end zone. RBS would take a 21-0 lead going into the locker room.

Mt. Juliet came alive and scored their first touchdown on a 22 yard pass play but the extra point was no good and now we have a 21-6 score. The Bulldogs came right back and Link scored on a four yard quarterback sneak to give the Bulldogs a 28-6 lead.

Joseph Birdwell and Link would add scores in the 4th quarter and Mt. Juliet would score late in the 4th quarter to finish a 42-12 win for Red Boiling Springs.

Now Red Boiling Springs will travel to Jackson County on Friday Sep 15th for a game with the Blue Devils. Kick-off is scheduled for 7 pm.
