Barbara Eileen Rodriguez, age 68 of Lafayette, TN passed away Monday evening, September 11, 2023 at Sumner Regional Medical Center in Gallatin, TN.
Graveside Services & Interment for Barbara Eileen Rodriguez were conducted Friday afternoon, September 15, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. from the Lafayette City Cemetery in Lafayette with Pastor Ron Mathis officiating. Rebecca Mendivil, Manuel Mendivil, Lorene Barney, Anson Barney, Aaron Leathers, & Fabio Maltez served as pallbearers.
Barbara Eileen Rodriguez, was born July 2, 1955 in Indianapolis, IN born to the late James Homer & Nettie Nuckols and departed this life September 11, 2023 at the age of 68 years, 2 months, and 9 days. Barabra was the most loving & caring person. Barbara worked as a cashier at Cashway and as a NA at Nurses Unlimited in Odessa, TX. She always had her faith and was strong about it. Barbara was a one-of-a-kind person. She loved to help anyone who needed it. She would always make time for everyone and put them first. Barbara was an amazing mother, grandma, sister, aunt and friend. She would go out of her way just to make sure you didn’t have to. She worked a lot but still had time for her family. Whether it’s a talk, homework, cooking whatever it was she was there. She loved rock & roll, 50’s & 60’s music, loved to dance, watch lifetime and her court cases. She loved mickey mouse & speedy Gonzales. She would never stop going even when she was sick. She made sure everyone was taken care of. She was an angel who gave us life, old school to the max, one who gave respect. She loved her family & friends and would make you laugh even in the gloomiest of days. No one could mess with her kids or you would see mama bear come alive. Most of all she was a warrior.
Survivors include: Daughters and Son-in-Law, Rebecca & Manuel Mendivil of Lafayette, Lorene & Rick House of Dexter, MO, Son, Anson & Sarah Barney of Portageville, MO, 7 grandchildren & 1 Great-grandchild and her dogs Bandit & Brownie.
