Macon Golf captures district title

The Macon County High girls and boys golf teams captured another regular season district golf title. They compete in District 9 of the large school division in the sport of golf.

The last home match of the season was held on Thursday Sep 14th in Lafayette against Beech High and Wilson Central High. The boys won with a low team score of 286. Rounds were: Maddox Crowder (65), Hayes Polston (73), Tracin Parker (72), Jake Meador (76), Hampton Parker (76), Eli Mercer (79), McKade Mix (81), Colton Parrish (88), and Jonah Shouse (106).

The girls won with a team score of 157. Scores were: Mattie Goad (73), Kamryn Vestor (84), Allie Kate Austin (96), and Emma Parrish (102).

The District Tournament is scheduled for Sep 19th at County Hills Golf Course.
